# IS Jobs

> A community-maintained database for the academic Information Systems job market, with optional private application tracking.

IS Jobs collects public academic Information Systems openings into season-specific databases. Candidates can search by position, university, department, job type, region, tenure-track status, or Carnegie research designation and then follow the original employer posting to verify requirements and deadlines. Carnegie covers U.S. institutions: matched schools outside R1/R2/RCU have no research designation, while non-U.S. or unmatched schools are explicitly unavailable. Public job discovery does not require an account.

## Public job discovery

- [Browse current jobs](https://isjobs.xyz/jobs)
- [Browse universities across seasons](https://isjobs.xyz/universities)
- [Browse current and historical seasons](https://isjobs.xyz/seasons)
- [Search structured jobs through REST](https://isjobs.xyz/api/v1/jobs)

## Contribute public information

Anyone can [submit a missing public job](https://isjobs.xyz/jobs/new). Signed-in contributors may attribute submissions to their display name or publish anonymously. Evidence-backed REST and MCP correction suggestions enter a human moderation queue and never update a listing automatically.

## Private workflow

An optional free account provides saved searches, contribution history, self-service API tokens, and a private application tracker. Tracker jobs, stages, notes, deadlines, and history are not included in public listings.
